Back in NYC after being out in Ohio for a couple days. Got to visit the art museum for the first time in nearly ten years.
Maria Tash’s clickers have honestly been the best ones I’ve seen in person and worn personally. If you’re looking for the appeal of the classic “septum clicker” - the Princess Horizontal - you won’t find a better piece of jewelry with a more functional and comfortable hinge. I’m wearing 3 of them currently and have a fourth on order at the moment.
The only reason id sang a clicker from another company is purely based on different companies offering different designs. If you’re after any of the pieces Maria Tash offers, you’d be missing out by trying to get them elsewhere.
As for wait times, everyone in the industry is a bit stressed right now. Let your piercer give them a call and see what they might be able to make happen with you. It’s better to get an accurate idea of turn around times rather than trust some random Facebook group (which are always filled with hearsay that’s usually wrong).
6 weeks average quote. Usually quicker if it’s in Stock. We have blanks of a lot of pieces we just set stones in and send away.
While there are piercers who swear by the ability to use rings initially in nostril piercings, my personal preference is to start with straight posts and switch to rings only after healed.
Rings just tend to have a much higher tendency to get bumped / caught / snagged on things, more than people realize by far.
I say straight hole straight jewelry.
I got to do this cute little Opal “flap” piercing. It was a little unusual and super awesome. #piercing #piercings #opal #gold
I wish I had the time to grab closer photos of all of them, but each of them got a cute little forward helix done today! #piercing #diamond #opal
